Potential withdrawals had threatened the programming of the

Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham, but organizers are hoping for a competitive tournament. Among the many disciplines in the spotlight, the women’s boxing section which will be present at the games for only the third time.

Women’s boxing needs continued exposure from major tournaments and there could be some tense months ahead for organizers. In the meantime, we should all stay positive and start by expecting a solid entry for 2022.

One of the biggest concerns was with India, but there is better news in this regard. The country had initially decided not to send its hockey team to Birmingham and that would have seriously weakened this section.

Fortunately, a U-turn followed this decision and that must be good news for the Indian boxing team as well. They may not be a major force in the professional ring, but India’s amateur women have secured medals in previous games and they would have been sorely missed.

Questions over Australia and New Zealand, whose organizers have withdrawn from the 2021 Rugby Union World Cup, will certainly remain for now. Home countries England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will almost certainly be in attendance and that’s another welcome piece of good news.

Countries to watch

At the 2018 Commonwealth Games on Australia’s Gold Coast, medals in six different weight classes for women were contested. Of the gold medals at stake, host country Australia took two while the other two were split between England and India.

Four years earlier in Scotland there were only three gold medals at stake. Two of them were won by English boxers, with Australia claiming the title when Shelley Watts won the weight division. light.

Obviously, many of these athletes will not be involved in Birmingham, but the statistics can offer a good indication of what we might expect in 2022. English and Australian boxers tend to perform well and their reps will be among those to watch.

Sports betting will tend to support this theory. Bookies don’t like behind the amateur game as much as they do in the professional ring, but

boxing betting sites Boxing betting sites originating from sbo.net will post all available odds.

As the games get closer, the markets will start to fill up and sbo.net will update the prices through the panel of recommended sports betting companies. Each of the bookmakers presented by the site is configured to accept any new customer who wishes to join us. Generous welcome packages are in place in most cases, along with a choice of funding methods that can open the account and make it work.

Once a customer has been verified, the ability to wager on other events, as well as the ability to live stream certain sports can also be found. In short, no matter who shows up at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022, this website has plenty of coverage.

To stay positive

At the very least, we can expect to see a series of competitive boxing matches in Birmingham next year. The female side of the sport continues to grow with more and more weight divisions added to the Olympics and other games like these.

Much of the questioning relates to the participation of Australia which was the second most successful nation in boxing history at the Commonwealth Games. Anyone looking for benchmarks after their potential absence could deduce that England will dominate from this point on.

english boxers have won more Commonwealth gold medals than any other country and the door would be firmly open.

The biggest challenge could then come from India which won the silver and bronze medals in the games. Their athletes are expected to attend and the nation hopes to win its first gold at the games.

At this point it is all speculation, but we can be sure that women’s boxing at the Commonwealth Games in 2022 will be more competitive than ever and that is good news in this important showcase for the sport.
