Gaynor group matches continue – Kerry U13 triumphs as U15 misses


he Kerry Under 13 and Under 15 Gaynor Cup teams continued their group matches and preparations for the semi-final of the competition for which they qualified.

Both teams continued to improve throughout the season to the delight of their coaches and on Sunday the Under-13s took a great victory over visitors to County Limerick.

The game was scoreless at the break but Kerry continued to dominate and got her reward when Laura Falvey and Naoishe O’Donoghue hit the net to give Kerry the win and the group’s three points.

The Under-15s put in a big effort in a game that ended up short, but it was the County Limerick team that snatched the win with a last-minute strike.

Kerry’s two teams end their group stage with a trip to Cork on the weekend of 13/14 November.



Both games were very close and exciting with just one goal separating the teams in both games. Sarah Slattery scored for Listowel Celtic in their 1-0 home win over Camp Juniors. In the Fenit Samphires v Inter Kenmare, the only goal came from home side Ava Flaherty.

Division 1

Grace Murphy scored for Mastergeeha but they lost 2-1 to Fenit Samphires. Ellie McCann scored both Fenit goals.

The match between Castleisland and Listowel Celtic B ended 2-2. Kelsie Brosnan and Ciara O’Donoghue were on track for Castleisland with Issy Larkin scoring both Listowel Celtic goals.



Killarney Celtic had goals from Bethany Moynihan, Jessica Leggate, Caoimhe O’Sullivan and Emma Day gave Killarney Celtic the victory over Camp Juniors.

There was a scoring festival between MEK Galaxy and Listowel Celtic with Laura Falvey hitting 5 and Eadaoin Larkin one for Listowel Celtic in a 6-5 victory.

Division 1

Killarney Celtic B just got the better of LB Rovers at Celtic Park by an odd goal in five. Ali Bowler, Ella O’Connor and Putanya Ryan scored Celtic’s goals with Ruby Browne and Ellie Cregan responding for LB Rovers.

Goals from Emma O’Connor (four), Muireann Teehan and Vilte Paulaskaite gave Iveragh United the victory over Killarney Athletic at Woodlawn. Laura Healy scored the Athletic goal.


It was another very close encounter with Tara Desmond putting Inter Kenmare 1-0 at halftime. In the second half, Ava O’Malley equalized for home side Killarney Celtic.
