WWE Japan site closes

It was reported earlier this month that WWE has shut down its company’s Japanese division (WWE Japan LLC).

This came after WWE canceled three events in Japan in 2020 due to the pandemic and did not announce any plans to present any shows this year.

WWE Japan Website posted an update noting, “As of September 24, the official WWE Japan website (wwe.co.jp) will be closed. We will continue to provide WWE information in Japanese from the following SNS accounts. “

They have listed official Japanese WWE accounts on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for fans to follow in the future.

The statement added, “As a result, the point of contact for inquiries in Japanese will also be closed. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding and understanding. Thank you for your patronage over the years.

For several years there had been talk of WWE going to different countries as it had done in the UK where it would create a Performance Center and an NXT brand. Japan used to be a hotly debated country, but that is no longer the case.
